The Federation of Liberian Associations in Ohio – FOLAO is a not-for-profit organization 501(C)3), based in Ohio. It is comprised of Liberian community organizations within the State of Ohio. Currently it has 5 active local chapters based in the following Cities of Ohio: Columbus, Toledo, Cleveland, Cincinnati and Dayton.

FOLAO is registered with the State of Ohio and serve as the umbrella organization of all Liberian associations in the State of Ohio. It has been existed for over 30 years and have continued to impact the socio-economic welfare of our membership, as well as Liberians back home. To provide an epitome of FOLAO’s activities within the State of Ohio, the organization was very instrumental in creating a Sister-City Relationship between the City of Monrovia, Republic of Liberia and the City of Dayton, Ohio. As one of the Local Chapters of the Union of Liberian Associations in the Americas – ULAA, FOLAO has remained a vibrant organization that tends to not only seek the welfare of its membership, but shows its willingness to collaborate with any group that pursues to promote the well-being of society.

Mission: To expand, include and elevate the historic and present-day contributions of African Americans through education and engagement.

Vision: To lead the Delaware community in understanding the African American experience.

APNET’s mission is to provide a forum that unites professionals of African origin and their allies to promote and facilitate charitable and educational initiatives among members and the larger communities they belong to. Membership of APNET is open to the general public.

Liberians in Columbus, Inc. (LICI) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. The objectives and purposes of the organization are as follows: LICI is a cultural, educational, and humanitarian organization and shall seek to achieve the following : Unite Liberians in central Ohio in order to form a stronger community bridging our social, educational, economic, and religious differences.
